Arturo Ferrer

Founder and President

Arturo Ferrer founded American Industrial Services (AIS) in San Antonio, Texas in 2009. He has extensive experience in the janitorial, building maintenance and grounds maintenance industries. His background includes working as a manager for SSI Sanitation Services, Inc. in San Antonio, TX. He then managed Fresh from Texas, a vegetable processing plant where he ensured compliance with safety practices, timeliness, accuracy and compliance with USDA regulations.  He was responsible for training, promoting and terminating personnel. He completed all sanitation documents, inspected safety of equipment and workplace and monitored chemical mixing and application. He has grown AIS from a one city, one state firm into a regional janitorial, building maintenance, grounds maintenance and landscaping enterprise. The company also provides pre and post construction services. As President, he oversees all operations. He believes in investing in the company, so it can continue its expansion into other locations throughout the nation.

Monte Riley

General Manager

Monte Riley has more than 15 years of management experience. At AIS he manages the daily operations. His responsibilities include supervising the administrative staff and regional supervisors, and ensuring client satisfaction. He oversees new client contract launches and maintains direct contact with the client Point of Contact. New task orders for services not included in the master contracts are handled by Monte. He provides the estimates and coordinates with the internal AIS staff. Monte travels to far-flung locations to review that the work is being done properly. One of his biggest assets is his flexibility. Monte finds ways to solve problems quickly and efficiently to ensure clients’ satisfaction. He also manages new business development, planning and forecasting. Prior to joining AIS, Monte served as an area director for the Boys & Girls Clubs of America in Wichita Falls where he served as Assistant Manager of one location. After moving to San Antonio, he was promoted to Branch Director of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, where he managed ten locations and supervised 100 persons. Monte studied business management at Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Carmelo Garcia

Regional Supervisor

Carmelo’s experience includes working as a production supervisor at the Tyson’s Buffalo, NY manufacturing plant for five years. He then joined a very large construction company where he was a construction supervisor for three years. He joined AIS in 2000 where he manages area supervisors assigned geographically.  Quality control is maintained by keeping in close contact with his area supervisors through weekly reports, calls and spot surprise inspections to client locations throughout their territories to ensure quality standards are met. He is involved in janitorial, sanitation, building maintenance and pre and post construction cleanup. He holds an Associate’s degree from Buffalo Community College.

Juan Guajardo

Senior Accounting Manager

Juan has managed the accounting for American Industrial Services for seven years. He is an expert in cost accounting and is able to set up tailored invoices to meet client requirements. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Jose Serra

Accounting Manager

Jose is part of the AIS accounting team. He handles accounts receivables and account payables and financial reporting. Prior to joining AIS he worked as an auditor for Price Waterhouse. He then became the general ledger supervisor for MABE, a General Electric subsidiary in Mexico. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Puebla in Mexico (UPAEP).
